Welcome! I’m so glad you’re here.

Dr. B with a stethoscope at the staircase.

Hey everyone, my name is Becca - or Dr. B - to be honest calling myself “doctor” anything still feels a little strange.

Firstly, thank you for checking out my website. If you’ve made it this far, I hope you can see how much love I have poured into my profession, this business, and the people in our community.

I started the idea for a community chiropractic office when I was in my second year of chiropractic college. What is “community chiropractic”? That idea has changed numerous times on my journey to starting Bruce Village, and I’m sure it will change again. In my mind, a “community chiropractic” office has a few necessary elements:

  • It welcomes everyone through its doors and provides the best quality care possible, regardless of their life or family situation, gender, ability, financial situation, or anything that might make them feel “other” within society

  • It promotes community cohesiveness through attendance, membership, volunteerism, or promotion of local events and organizations

  • It is a hub of information about peoples’ stories, life experiences, events… anything! For example, in our office we offer a “little free library” of our own stocked with literature about pregnancy for pregnant persons or pregnancy support persons, with more stories on the way featuring LGBT2SQ+, disabled, and neurodiverse voices.

  • Finally, it should be a place where everyone feels safe, whether that is safety to express pain, safety to express life experiences, or simply a place that feels as though you are “welcome”

So thank you for stopping by, and I look forward to welcoming you to Bruce Village.

All the best,

-Dr. B
